Miss Bermuda back from 14-year hiatus

HAMILTON, Bermuda, CMC – Bermuda is to enter the annual Miss World pageant for the first time in 14 years, organisers have announced.

The Miss Bermuda Pageant has named 17 women hoping to represent the island at Miss World later this year.
The women, aged 18 to 25, will compete for the title of Miss Bermuda at the Fairmont Southampton in June.
Bermuda’s only success in Miss World, which was launched in 1951, came in 1979 when Gina Swainson lifted the crown in London
