what does a girl need to win a pageant in Italy??? There were so many possibilities better than her...

Well, waiting for her transformation. I also didn't like Valentina Massi when she won MUI 2007 but then she became a beautiful swan...

is it already confirmed or can we still hope?

we all did, so sorry for all the really deserving girls. But I must always think of Valentina Massi who looked so plain at her coronation but then surprised everyone with a fantastic stage performance. She looked so regal during Miss Universe. Maybe we will see a similar miracle this year...

Being half Italian, I am very disappointed in Italy's choice. But, like others have mentioned she could be like Valentina Massi and be very well prepared and pull a big surprise at Miss Universe. Plus, something about her might catch Donald's eye and he will place her in the semifinialists.

I'm surprised at the mixed reaction to her win (she wasn't my pick as I would've gone with Sophia Sergio or Eleonora Peruzzini, but I see neither even made the Top 10). In terms of raw material, she certainly looks more promising than Jessica Cecchini, Laura Valenti, Valentina Massi and even Claudia Ferraris did when they were crowned (Claudia was immediately labeled as a disappointment and a clapper, and made it all the way to #9 at Miss Universe). Elisa has the height, a good body and an interesting face. My only concern would be the tattoo, which I'm pretty sure she'll cover up. Besides, they're shipping her off to Venezuela in August and I definitely expect her to be ready and fully prepared in September. I don't think she can win, but I could see her make the cut.

Yeah..What shocks me the most is that the top 10 was so great! Out of this,she was the worst girl but,incredibly,managed to win..
Miriam is so gorgeous,and is fastly becoming very popular in Italy hosting important TV shows due to her amazing personality and beauty. The problem is anyway always the same.. Unlike other countries,former winners of national pageants,never join other contests.. Also,all the girls prefer to compete at first at Miss Italia and Miss World Italy. Miss Universe Italy is usually their third try..
