I don't really like Valeria, I think she's not the typical german girl...
Please tell me if I'm wrong but I read that she is italian/ucrainian/russian??? but why is she wearing the miss wm mexico scarf? scarf? it is right? I don't care I think u know what I mean...
She is for me a Latina but no caucasian white german girl Very Happy

Valeria is a really nice girl. I know her personally. She was born in Russia and she has a German passport and speaks German without accent. She moved to Germany when she was 5 years old.

This Mexico-thing is weird indeed. I suppose MGC needed a Mexican delegate in the Miss WM-pageant but probably didn´t find one. THerefore they asked Valeria if she would like to compete as Mexico due to her Latin look.

A German delegate doesn´t have to be blonde. As you know Germany is a very multicultural country. WE have many Turks, Asians, E-Yugos, Blacks etc. When they have a German passport they are allowed to compete.

I just want to say, that I would never say something about her personality, I don't know her. I just met her in competition and agree to your statement that her german is very good -uyjr6-

But for me a german contestant have to be easy to identify with this country. Like a german name, the look or something else. When i see a picture of her I would never think she's the german contestant.

I was not my intention to say something racistic, it's just strange for me to understand that she is german, but also mexican, russian maybe a little british or whatever. Rolling Eyes

It's maybe about my expectation of a german contestant. She's pretty as well, but in my opinion not the right choice for germany.

Valeria did her best to represent Germany at MU this year. About her Italian/Ukrainian origin: this doesn't matter as long as her passport is German At least for MU which is looking somehow for a latin looking girl. But I agree that it would be nice to have a nice blonde girl again at MU wearing the Germany sash!
