Astrid Carolina Herrera from Venezuela got the title of Miss World 1984. That was the 34th Miss World Beauty Pageant competition, held in the Royal Albert Hall, London, UK on 15th November, 1984.

Astrid Carolina Herrera was the third woman who won the title of Miss World from her Country Venezuela. Constance Ellen (Connie) Fitzpatrick was the 1st runner-ups from Canada and Lou-Anne Caroline Ronchi was the second from Australia.

Herrera who was born on 23rd June, 1963 also competed in 1984 as Miss Miranda in national beauty pageant at Venezuela. She was also a stunning actress therefore she won so many awards as an actress in Mexico and Venezuela. She had gained the photogenic award and also became Miss World Americas. She was a really considered as a sex symbol and Venezuelan telenovela Icon.
