when there were still no internet, pageant site, pageants forum to know all the winners..candidates and history of Miss Universe. And still no TV most of the houses, and few people had electricity in our place.

I remember Dayanara Torres (Miss Universe 1993) as the most famous beauty queen for me and for everyone.... she work as an actress here after her reign (the fact that she crowned her successor in the Philippines, she's even more popular than Sushmita in my case since i was only about 4 years old. And till now her name are well known in some gay pageants as they impersonate her
