As the competition is nearing, I realize how difficult it is to choose a winner! There are 118 countries participating in the pageant. Unfortunately, Miss Sierra Leone and Miss Ghana could not make it as they got stuck. And this is the first pageant to have the highest number of countries participating. We have made it to the Guinness Book of world records. Everyone is so speechless because everyone is so different from the other. Some are blonde and some are Asian. We are all a mix and it's difficult to decide who will win. We all keep wondering because they are looking for a winner at this pageant who has it all. We are being patient and wondering. Only once you get here do you realize how difficult all this is!

LATEST UPDATE FROM VANYA

30/07/2012

Yesterday we visited the ancient village Sujiajian Guli Fam in Changshu which is seven hundred years old! So it was good to revisit history! But what really excited all of us was a visit to the Chinese fashion house, BoSiDeng. The brand has been there since 1976 and it's huge. So I was excited seeing the entire collection! Later, we went shopping to a local mall and I picked up a hat from there! Another day well spent in Changshu. I will definitely take back some good memories with me!

We had a dinner hosted by the government of China in honour of the Miss World contestants. I have to say, the buffets here are really good because when you visit restaurants, it's so difficult to eat anything. They only serve pork and beef which I don't eat. I also noticed that dinner here is so early. It's between 6.30-8.30pm. Back home, dinner doesn't start before 8pm. But the spread is amazing! There is so much of variety that I simply love it!

It is getting very hectic these days. Hardly any time to work out. I sleep at 12 pm and wake up at 6 am. I hang out with the contestants in my group and we chat and discuss the pageant. Now, just waiting for the beach wear filming rounds in the dunes.

Anyway, moving ahead let me share with you guys the fantastic time that I had with all the other contestants. We recently visited the Ornamental Water Gardens and Shang Lake and had so much fun. We got a chance to try out some of the traditional clothes and experience the traditional music. The experience was fabulous and I am sure it was a treat for all the other contestants as well.
