Melody Mir is of Dominican and Spanish descent. She competed in Miss Spain 2009 where she was one of the favorites, representing Islas Baleares. That same year she competed in Reina Hispanoamerica, where she placed as 2nd runner up to Adriana Vassini and her vice-Queen, Sandra Vinces.

Indeed, Melody was born in Santiago, Dom. Rep. 21 years ago and she stands 5'10".
From Spanish father and Dominican mother and was raised most of her life in Spain, she is a Top Model.

Officially Melody Mir was crowned yesterday as Miss Dominican Republic International 2012, on her left is the reigning 2011 queen Catherine Ramirez (wich I've never liked) Melody is a much, much better choice and I wish her good luck, maybe she will break the bad luck this country is having in this year 2012. -ds90-
