The Battle of Thermopylae (Greek: Μάχη τῶν Θερμοπυλῶν, Machē tōn Thermopylōn) was fought between an alliance of Greek city-states, led by King Leonidas of Sparta, and the Persian Empire of Xerxes I over the course of three days, during the second Persian invasion of Greece in 480 B.C.!


Many of you may have seen the movie "300" which is based on this historic event.




Ιt was like TODAY, exactly 2.492 years ago when this happened, I was born and raised very close to the actual place of the battle so Leonidas and his battle was part of our everyday life!
If you ever happen to be in Greece, you have to visit Thermopylae, it's a very spiritual and unique place to be.
I guess the souls of 300 brave men are still there!
