Why?? Not very professional behaviour from Femina

first they had announced that they will only crown the world rep & the other 2 would be just runners up but at the finale they were given sashes of Miss India Earth/International but the sashes were changed to runners up the same night but most probably Sobhita will go to earth & zoya will go to international or they might swap the tittles

What?! Nooooo .... That's extremely unfair to Sobhita and Zoya!!! They received the right to represent their country in international pageants, so they should be delegated as it was said at the beginning Please, don't take pattern from Miss Polonia Org....

I think femina is upset with both MIO & MEO for ignoring India for couple of years now

Yes, I understand the anger, but look at Poland. We have been constantly sending our girls to MU in spite of the fact that they were wasted there year by year for the past 23 years Wink

Q) What is the secret behind your flawless skin?
A) Radiant and flawless skin is the secret to youth and beauty. I love my fruits and make sure that I have enough fruits throughout the day. Another secret to a healthy skin is water. Make sure you stay hydrated throughout the day. Coconut water and nimbu paani are also a must during scorching summers.

Q) What is your fitness mantra?
A) I am now learning and imbibing the importance of staying fit. I don't advocate
being thin or skinny. Strong is the new sexy and nothing is better than a voluptuous, healthy woman who is fit and toned. I workout for almost two hours every morning and go for walks as often I can.

Q) Please share with us the secret behind your lovely tresses?
A) I'm lucky to inherit my mother's beautiful thick black hair. I try to balance out the dryness from styling with the age old miracle - hot oil champi! A nutritious diet ensures that my hair is shining with health and beauty.

Q) How do you define fashion? What are you most comfortable in?
A) Fashion to me is not trendy clothes or colours. It is an artistic expression of emotions and moods. I wear my personality. I like to blend various cultures, multiple facets of my mind and fashion eras into my wardrobe. Thankfully, I can walk in kohlapuri chappal and Christian Louboutin heels with equal ease and elan!

Q) What is your favourite cuisine?
A) I love variety in my food but nothing beats Indian cuisine!

I WANT TO BE A WOMAN OF SUBSTANCE: SOBHITA DHULIPALA
Ever since Sobhita Dhulipala was crowned Pond's Femina Miss India 2013 first runner-up, the 20-year-old Vizag girl has been busy enjoying the life of a beauty queen. "From backpacking in Kullu Manali one day to walking the ramp the next, giving interviews and doing something completely random the day after that, it's been a bit of a roller-coaster ride. It's like living a dream and I'm digging it," says the beauty queen, whose immediate goal is to win the Miss Earth pageant this August.

Preparations are on in full swing, with Sobhita being groomed by top experts in each field. "Being a Miss India is a great honour, but I don't want to stop here. Ambition has gotten me this far and it has made me believe that dreams do come true," she says.

There's abundant confidence in Sobhita's beautiful big eyes, which can mesmerize you in seconds. But, talk to her further, and you realize that it wasn't always the case. Apparently she was "a very awkward, shy and subdued girl in school". "I was a loser in school and this guy I liked never paid any attention to me." She was in Class 9 then, but, in a dramatic turn of events, a history exam changed it all, she says!

"Scared to fail, I took part in an essay-writing competition and to my surprise, stood first in the entire district. That was my first taste of success." Post that, she started taking part in debates, elocutions and essay-writing competitions, became the school captain, and started learning dance and reading. "I was developing different facets of my personality," explains Sobhita.

Dance played a huge part in transforming her. She's now a trained Bharatnatyam and Kuchipudi dancer. "I'm an introvert, but dance helped me express myself. It's the language of the soul. That's why, even at the Miss India contest, I performed Bharatnatyam and won the Miss Talent contest!" says Sobhita, who also won the Miss India itimes Digital Diva title for her strong online presence and fan following.

The pretty lass has come a long way for someone born in the small town of Tenali and raised in Vizag. But, Mumbai's played a part in it. She did her graduation from HR College of Commerce and Economics in the city. "I was the small-town girl in a college where everybody was an actor's son, a politician's daughter or a model. But, by the second year, I began making friends and by the third year, I emerged the queen bee. I would meet more than 500 people every day in college. These things might seem silly and petty, but for a 19-year-old, these little things add up to shape your personality in a big way" she says.

Back to the present, and Sobhita is focused on achieving her goals. She plans to appear for the IES (Indian Economic Services) exam, has already "enrolled for a distance-learning masters in business and corporate law" and wants to "do some qualitative work in fashion." She adds, "I want to be recognized as a woman of substance. I had no control over my genetics and so can't take credit for my beauty. But I want to become the best person I can. I see so many girls looking me up on the internet and I want to be a good role model, someone who they can look up to and say, 'Wow, I want be like that'.
