Yeah for CR and Greece! Czech Republic is a surprise but I was pretty certain that Greece will be back.

Måns Zelmerlöw is going to host the 61st Eurovision Song Contest, according to Aftonbladet. Apparently the deal is almost complete but there are some formalities yet to be agreed or something. It's believed Måns will be the main presenter and not a greenroom presenter or a guest. Will he host the show alone? More is expected to be revealed very soon...

Reports say that SVT plans to spend just 13,3 mln euro for ESC 2016 so it means that it's gonna be another small, poor production like Malmo 2013 Rolling Eyes

13,3 millions euro is 50% less than in Copenhagen and 66% less than in Baku.

Israel to perform in second semi-final of Eurovision 2016

Israel will compete in the second-semi final on 12 May in order to avoid a clash with Israel’s Memorial Day on 10 May, reports newspaper Israel HaYom. Since July there has been speculation around Israel’s participation in Eurovision 2016 due to a potential clash with the semi-finals and the very important national holiday, but it seems a solution has been found.

RAI, the Italian national broadcaster has announced today via its official Eurovision Facebook page that the 2016 Sanremo winner will be elegible to represent Italy at the forthcoming 2016 Eurovision Song Contest in Stockholm next May, just as was the case this year when Il Volo agreed to fly the Italian flag in Vienna after their Sanremo victory.

BOSNIA & HERZEGOVINA

BHRT withdraws its application for ESC 2016

The Bosnian broadcaster has confirmed to ESCToday that it has decided to withdraw its application to participate at the forthcoming Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna next year.

The decision was taken after intense negotiations with the EBU, who indicated that this time, in view of the difficult financial situation BHRT caused by the drastic fall in income from the license fee, the Bosnian broadcaster has been given a grace period until the end of October try to find a sponsor to provide the financial means for Bosnia & Herzegovina to compete in the event next year.

Bearing in mind the public interest BHRT will do its utmost best to find a solution along with its partners and sponsors in order to participate at the forthcoming Eurovision Song Contest in Stockholm.
