I noticed they kept mentioning Miss Universe should be an "it" girl, but several in the top 15 didn't strike me as "it" girls. I think there were more it girls who did not place.

I don't like the fact that you're trying to make Pia a bad one here, guys.... She is as same victim of human's mistake as Ariadna is in this story. She also had to face with the shock and mixed feelings and keep the game going on while everything was live  show.... She didn't play Mother Threresa in front of the cameras, but the fact that she wanted to gave back the crown shows that she had a lot of doubts and really feels bad for Ariadna. I think she behaved much better than Ariadna is now who can't accept the fact that she's not the winner here and trying to be in the spot light... It shows which one has more humility

Yeah, AFTER she got the crown. I'm talking about when Ariandna still had the crown and sash on and Pia walked beside her. She said and did NOTHING!!! Absolutely nothing. She just stood there a long time smiling and waiting. PAULINA was the one who then camed and acted very respectfly trying to calm down the audience and tapped both of their backs.

Look it again, Pia did absolutely nothing. She just looked confused and then started smiling. Nothing on her facial expressiond or body language at THAT moment said that she felt bad for Colombia. It was only after she saw that Ariandna started crying that she tried to approach her.

Well, she wasn't prepared for such a situation by her trainers

She was in shock, so she acted spontaneously following the impulse. Yes, she was smiling, but is it a crime? I think every single girl's first reaction would be pretty the same after knowing that she won.Accept it or not, but it's a natural thing, an instinct. You can't control it  After all they all are competing in MU, because they want to win the crown, right?   But as you said when she saw that Ariadna is crying she tried to comfort her. I think it was the moment when the first shock went by and she realized that her dream comes true at the expense of her fellow contestant's one and felt compassion for her, but unfortunately she didn't have a possibility to express it thanks to other 'kind' candidates...

And there is no reason why she should have needed to give the crown back.

A mistake was made and corrected, and naturally Pia is now the rightfull winner.

Speaking for myself here, I'm not trying to make Pia look bad. I was just writing my thoughts on what happened. I already admitted that she was probably like WTF just happened. But in any case I think she could have at least approached Ariadna and comfort her. But the whole time they were waiting for Paulina arrive she just stood there and did nothing. I didn't like that.

ANd that is my honest opinion on that situation and how I saw it. Sorry.
