Carlene King Johnson Drake (May 31, 1933 – April 15, 1969) was an American model and beauty pageant titleholder who won Miss USA 1955. She died at the age of 35 due to diabetes.

Carmen Susana Duijm Zubillaga (August 11, 1936 – June 18, 2016) was a Venezuelan actress, television host, model and beauty queen who was crowned Miss Venezuela 1955 and competed at Miss Universe 1955, placing in the top 15. She then went to compete at Miss World 1955 and won, becoming the first Venezuelan and Latin American woman to win the Miss World crown. She died on June 18, 2016 (aged 79).

Geri Hoo (1939 - Dec. 29, 2007) was an American actress and beauty pageant titleholder. Hoo was Miss Hawaii Universe 1958 and 2nd Runner up at Miss Universe 1958. On December 29, 2007, Hoo died. Hoo was 68.

Corine Spier-Rottschäfer (8 May 1938 – 24 September 2020) was a Dutch model and beauty queen who won the 1959 Miss World contest, representing the Netherlands. She was the first woman from her country to win the title. The pageant was held in London, United Kingdom.

Linda Bement, Miss Universe 1960, USA

Linda Jeanne Bement, 76, passed away peacefully at her home on March 19th. She was born in Salt Lake City on November 2, 1941. Linda was crowned Miss Utah, Miss USA and Miss Universe from 1960-61.

Miss World 1961: Rosemarie Frankland (1 February 1943 – 2 December 2000) was a Welsh actress, model and beauty queen who won Miss World 1961, having previously finished as first runner-up at Miss Universe 1961.

According to reports, Frankland died from a drug overdose in December 2000 in Marina del Rey, California, after battling depression. Her ashes were flown back to Wales and were buried at Rhosllannerchrugog Cemetery in February 2001

Kulie Ege (12 November 1943 – 29 April 2008) was a Norwegian actress and model, who appeared in many British films of the 1960s and 1970s. And Miss Norway Universe 1962. She died from breast cancer at the age of 64 on 29 April 2008. She had previously been treated for breast cancer and lung cancer.

Persis Khambatta (2 October 1948 – 18 August 1998) was an Indian model and actress who is best remembered for playing Lieutenant Ilia in the feature film Star Trek: The Motion Picture (1979). Miss India Universe 1965

Khambatta married Hollywood actor Cliff Taylor only weeks after meeting him in June 1981. Two months later they filed for divorce.

In 1998, Khambatta was taken to the Marine Hospital in south Mumbai, complaining of chest pains, and she died of a massive heart attack on 18 August 1998 at the age of 49. Her funeral was held in Mumbai the following day

María de las Casas died on October 24, 2013, after complications from pulmonary emphysema that was diagnosed several years ago. In addition to contracting dengue, which further worsened his health. He was 70 years old.

She died in 2004, in Las Vegas, Nevada, aged 57 years.

Sylvia Louise Hitchcock-Carson (January 31, 1946 – August 16, 2015) was an American model and beauty queen who held the titles of Miss Alabama USA and Miss USA, and was crowned Miss Universe 1967.

She resided in Lake Wales, Florida until her death from cancer on August 15, 2015. She was 69 years old.

Monica Fairall - Miss South Africa Universe 1968

One of South African’s most popular broadcasters, Monica Fairall, died on June 21,2009 at 13h30 in Parklands Hospital with her husband Rob Morrell at her side. She died of myeloma – a cancer of the blood – and had been undergoing treatment for some time. She was 60.

Rosana Vinueza Estrada de Tama (6 February 1949 – 25 August 2009) was an Ecuadorian beauty queen and politician. In 1969, she was named Miss Ecuador 1969, and was a participant in Miss Universe 1969. From there, she married and had four children, and went to work in the nonprofit sector. She was the manager of Fundación Natura, an environmental non-profit organization, and also guided Fundación Crecer as that non-profit organization was starting up.

In 1999, Vinueza was diagnosed with cancer, which led to her death a decade later at the age of 60.

She was the second winner, and was crowned by her predecessor, Kiki Håkansson, also from Sweden. She died on 4 February 2011.

Miss World 1957: Marita Lindahl (17 October 1938 – 21 March 2017) was a Finnish model and beauty queen who won the 1957 Miss World beauty pageant, after being crowned Miss Finland 1957 by Miss Finland 1956, Sirpa Helena Koivu. She became the first woman from Finland to win the title and the third Nordic woman; after Sweden had won the two first contests.

She died March 2017 (aged 78)

Miss World 1960: Norma Gladys Cappagli (20 September 1939 – 22 December 2020)was an Argentine model and beauty queen who won the 1960 Miss World contest, after being crowned Miss Argentina World 1960.

She was the first model from Argentina to win the title. The pageant was held in London, United Kingdom. Her prize was £500 and a sports car.After her reign as Miss World ended, Cappagli worked as a model.In 1962, she recorded the song "Sexy World" with Armando Sciascia. The song is featured in the T.V. show Velvet. She died in Fernández Hospital in Buenos Aires on 22 December 2020 after being run over by a bus on December 17.

MISS UNIVERSE 1974

Amparo Muñoz y Quesada (21 June 1954 – 27 February 2011) was a Spanish actress, model and beauty queen who won the Miss Universe 1974 competition in Manila, Philippines, being the first and only Spaniard Miss Universe titleholder to date.

Muñoz surrendered both the title and crown after six months due to refusal to follow the rules and regulations of the Miss Universe Organization. During that time, no successor was willing nor assigned to officially take her vacated placement.

After her shortened reign, Muñoz became a popular actress in Spain and starred in several comedies, including Mama Turns 100, and in the dramas Clara es el Precio, The Other Bedroom and Dedicatory. Her personal life was often shrouded in notorious events and public controversies. She died on 27 February 2011 due to cerebral aneurysm complications and was cremated and buried at the Roman Catholic cemetery of Saint Michael in Málaga, Spain.

MISS UNIVERSE 1995

Chelsi Mariam Pearl Smith (August 23, 1973 – September 8, 2018) was an American actress, singer, television host and beauty queen who was crowned Miss USA 1995 and Miss Universe 1995. Smith was the third Miss USA of African-American origin, after Carole Gist (1990) and Kenya Moore (1993), in addition to being the sixth American woman to win Miss Universe and the first since Shawn Weatherly was crowned Miss Universe 1980.

Smith was diagnosed with liver cancer in 2017. Growing increasingly weak throughout 2018, she traveled to her mother's home in Mifflin, Pennsylvania, and she died there at the age of 45 on September 8, 2018.

Marisol Malaret Contreras (October 13, 1949 – March 19, 2023) was a Puerto Rican television host, model, and beauty queen who won Miss Universe 1970, becoming the first Caribbean and Puerto Rican woman to be crowned Miss Universe.

Malaret died from complications of a pulmonary condition on March 19, 2023, at age 73.
