MISS UNIVERSE 1974

Amparo Muñoz y Quesada (21 June 1954 – 27 February 2011) was a Spanish actress, model and beauty queen who won the Miss Universe 1974 competition in Manila, Philippines, being the first and only Spaniard Miss Universe titleholder to date.

Muñoz surrendered both the title and crown after six months due to refusal to follow the rules and regulations of the Miss Universe Organization. During that time, no successor was willing nor assigned to officially take her vacated placement.

After her shortened reign, Muñoz became a popular actress in Spain and starred in several comedies, including Mama Turns 100, and in the dramas Clara es el Precio, The Other Bedroom and Dedicatory. Her personal life was often shrouded in notorious events and public controversies. She died on 27 February 2011 due to cerebral aneurysm complications and was cremated and buried at the Roman Catholic cemetery of Saint Michael in Málaga, Spain.

MISS UNIVERSE 1995

Chelsi Mariam Pearl Smith (August 23, 1973 – September 8, 2018) was an American actress, singer, television host and beauty queen who was crowned Miss USA 1995 and Miss Universe 1995. Smith was the third Miss USA of African-American origin, after Carole Gist (1990) and Kenya Moore (1993), in addition to being the sixth American woman to win Miss Universe and the first since Shawn Weatherly was crowned Miss Universe 1980.

Smith was diagnosed with liver cancer in 2017. Growing increasingly weak throughout 2018, she traveled to her mother's home in Mifflin, Pennsylvania, and she died there at the age of 45 on September 8, 2018.

MISS UNIVERSE 1970

Marisol Malaret Contreras (October 13, 1949 – March 19, 2023) was a Puerto Rican television host, model, and beauty queen who won Miss Universe 1970, becoming the first Caribbean and Puerto Rican woman to be crowned Miss Universe.

Malaret died from complications of a pulmonary condition on March 19, 2023, at age 73.

MISS USA 2019: Cheslie Corrinne Kryst (/krɪst/; April 28, 1991 – January 30, 2022) was an American attorney, television correspondent, model, and beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned Miss USA 2019. Kryst was also an attorney and had served as a correspondent for Extra from October 2019 until her death. For her work on Extra, she was nominated for two Daytime Emmy Awards.

On January 30, 2022, Kryst jumped to her death from The Orion, a 60-story high-rise apartment building in Midtown Manhattan, where she resided and was last seen on the 29th floor. On January 31, her death was ruled a suicide by the coroner. Kryst's mother April Simpkins released a statement, where she stated that Kryst had "high-functioning depression"

Maye Brandt - Miss Venezuela 1980

Maye passed away on October 2, 1982 at the age of 22 in Caracas, Venezuela. Maye's cause of death was suicide by gun.

Miss World 1959: Corine Spier-Rottschäfer (8 May 1938 – 24 September 2020) was a Dutch model and beauty queen who won Miss World 1959 contest, representing the Netherlands. She was the first woman from her country to win the title. The pageant was held in London, United Kingdom.'

She died on 24 September 2020.
