The road to Frøken Norge 2009

Frøken Norge 2009 will be crowned on March 27 at a venue to be confirmed.
Winner will represent Norway in Miss Universe 2009 and Miss World 2009.
So far, here are some favorites discussed in various Norwegian news sites:
Annette Flatøy Olsen, 17, 5'8"
Christina Johansen, 19, 5'7.5"
Silje Nilsen, 17, 5'10.5"
Right now, there are 200+ beauties in the running for the crown. They will be narrowed down to 40 quarter-finalists until the 10 or so finalists will remain for the duels.

Actually it looks like Norway will go back to the old system of electing two misses - 1 for MW and 1 for MU.
But this is not 100% confirmed.
The only sure thing is that Lene Egeli (MNW 2008) will not participate in MU 2009.

6 girls are through to the quarter finals (top 40).
They each won a web based voting for candidate of the month and beach babe 2008.
They are:

Eli Landa, 24 years, 176 cm
Marita Froyen, 21 years, 178 cm
Martine donheim, 17 years, 175 cm
Sunniva Dannevang, 18 years, 180 cm
Mona Camilla Fjellstad, 20 years, 177 cm
the betting agency's favourite is May Jeanette Elind, 19 years, 174 cm
