I don't have any complaints who ever win from the top 3. They are all deserving.

Unlike last year.

IF Nicaragua

wins it will be predictable due to the hype.......BUT I will not complain because it will be nice to see this country get their 1st ever Miss Universe crown. I'm all for 1st timers winning.

In FACT she deserves all the hype she got because he performance so far lived up to expectations

I didn't hear Thailand's answer in detail because I'm watching on a Spanish speaking livestream, but I understood she mentioned Malala Yousafzai, a figure loved by the American left. So Nicaragua and Thailand are going to be the final 2.

I agree her answer was the most genuine and down to earth of all. But since the MUO turned the pageant into a public speaking contest, they couldn't care less about genuineness anymore; they just want the girls to repeat and amplify their feminist message, and I think Nicaragua did exactly that.

I hope she wins, too! We saw too many girls looking overehearsed and looking older and dated..if she gets the crown perhaps something will change!

I'm very happy about the result as well, and it was a great edition overall. History repeated itself tonight: another Latina girl named Palacios was crowned Miss Universe in a Central American country, 37 years after the first time! @6f67@@

I am GLAD you mentioned VEENA......Miss Thailand Org keeps ROBBING her of the crown.

I LIKE Antonia BUT Veena was my sentimental fave for the crown :crown:

MAYBE it's a good thing she did not represent Thailand this year though......Sometimes REJECTION can be protection.
Maybe it was NOT her time yet because THIS YEAR was Nicaragua's :flag_ni: year.

Still hoping to see VEENA get a chance to go to Miss Universe 1 day :fingers_crossed: Since Miss Universe removed the age limit all hope is not lost
