The new Miss Universe, Miss U.S.A., Carol Morris completes an unprecedented sweep of top honours in the international beauty contest. She was first named the most popular girl in the opening day parade and then went on to win the title of Miss U.S.A. Now, she is Miss Universe 1956. This is the first time that a country wins twice the Miss Universe contest. Miss U.S.A. 1954 was Miriam Stevenson and now Miss U.S.A. 1956 is Carol Morris.
