Annaya (Miss Plymoth) is my pick for Miss Tobago 2024. She reminds me of Tya J when she speaks. Renessa Ortiz is my pick for 1st RU.
Annaya also won Top Model Tobago 2024.

Annaya Baird , 5'11" is my favorite for the Miss World Tobago 2024 title and she is already the bar setter for the Miss World Trinidad and Tobago 2024 pageant. She is only 17 years old but she speaks very well and will be a fave for the top model title of Miss World.

On an aside....can someone start prepping Jemelia Mc Comie for Miss World 2026/2027 or Miss Universe? You can't tell me Charu sat there in the judging panel in Tobago and did not at least make an effort to engage with this young lady to start the process of getting her to enter MWTT in a couple of years...in fact I saw 3 decent prospects who were not in the Miss World Tobago 2024 line-up.

The Miss World TT org. has indicated that they will announce major updates with respect to the upcoming screening date on their social media platforms soon. I don't expect the final to be in May 2024 as originally announced, however the sonner they crown our rep. the better.

Hi Frank. I Hope you're doing well.
My GOODNESS this woman is a head turner. How is it that she wasn't recruited??? SMH. Physically she's got a great package.
Everything else can be groomed/polished to suit the standard expected @ MW.
We have a LOT of potential here. We always did. Our problem after Peter Elias resigned, was attracting a certain calibre of women.
We were LUCKY that Aché entered and that was ONLY because her mother pushed her to. There really wasn't an incentive it seems for her join and she wasn't the most confident a few years ago. That was the MAIN reason for her being afraid to enter and there an MANY women like her here who are afraid to.
We also never cultivated a culture that made ppl passionate about pageantry like Aruba, Curaçao, Philippines, Thailand, Venezuela, Mexico, Colombia, Dominican Rep. Puerto Rico & other Latin American countries to name a FEW have done.
That's why we NEED ppl to actively go out and recruit these type of women because UNFORTUNATELY many of them aren't flocking to compete WITHOUT that push.

Re: ROAD TO MISS WORLD TRINIDAD & TOBAGO 2024
I am concerned...all the ladies that screened were beautiful but we are looking for someone who can both stand out in a sea of over 110 beauties and who can interview exceptionally well. From, the few tall ladies that we have heard speak, they sounded very green....Jordanne S. is clearly the orgs' fave....for me I need to see more. As for Jordanne, she needs to drop like 20 lbs....from a physical stand point she is not one of the 3 standouts. It is going to be interesting to see if they are just going to use the "reality series" to just prop. up their pick.
According the the Guardian newspaper, 60 ladies or thereabouts screened (I think CNC3 said it was over 60).
I would really like to know the heights for the ladies that make the semis....and I would like to see group shots of them standing.
At present, PE&A had the most transparent screeings. Charu is a very distant 2nd place.

If this team really knows what they are doing they will ensure that Faith Bowen and Heqpera Khafra should be in the line-up. Both sound very green but all they need is training - from a physical standpoint they stood out - while I don't expect either to win this year's pageant, Charu should understand that she should be scouting and prepping delegates who could possible rep. us in the future. Heqpera is a registered nurse, model and dancer, if I am not mistaken.

Re: ROAD TO MISS WORLD TRINIDAD & TOBAGO 2024
Sunday 14th April, 2024 is the reveal of the semifinalists - I would not be surpised if it is over 15 semifinalists in total again.
Apart from Miss Tobago, I expect D. Steele, F. Dwarika (influencer), Sonia (wore glasses, from Princes Town, comes off as extremely intelligent) and Beyonce to be in the line-up......Beyonce looks like a watered down version of the 2nd RU from last year and her first name is not helping her but she was the 1st RU at Miss Teen Awareness so I expect her to be smart and actually have a BWAP platform already.
I suspect they are going to place more than half the semifinalists based on resume and who could talk good rather than realizing we still need someone who is physically a standout in a sea of beauties.
It is clear from what has been releasesed so far that they are pushing D.Steele as an early faorite for the win. Additionally, from the few who have spoken, Sonia (the one with the glasses) is giving giving me vibes that she is a green version of Ache when it comes to interviews - Sonia has to think about what she is saying but she comes across as super intelligent when she speaks and my gosh the voice is so charming and giving confidence....just disappointed she is so short though. However, Sonia has easily one of the best faces from those that screened.
Jenai Mohammed (1st RU from last year's MUTT) is also in the line-up. I suspect she already talk he way into the top 5/6 of the finals already, but I am totally bored with her look.
I was hoping we would crown someone at least 5'8" tall this time around but the majority who screened looked so short.
Let's hope for a pleasant surprise among the top semifinalists come this Sunday....right now I don't see us placing in the top 12 at the next edition fo MW.

Re: ROAD TO MISS WORLD TRINIDAD & TOBAGO 2024
This is so true. Wendy recently revealed that she did not apply for Miss Trinidad and Tobago...it was Peter Elias who asked her at a wedding they were both attending and he went ahead and submitted her photo for the competition and she was accepted. Entering Miss Trinidad and Tobago was not in her plans. This was also what set Peter Elias apart...when he found someone with the potential to be a top calibre global competitor he would actively try to recruit the person. Other franchise holders have not shown this gumption...it is better to find one diamond in the rough and recruit her than to just make generic appeals to the public.Kimberly wrote:Frank Speech wrote:On an aside....can someone start prepping Jemelia Mc Comie for Miss World 2026/2027 or Miss Universe? Re: ROAD TO MISS WORLD TRINIDAD & TOBAGO 2024
At present I am very underwhelmed and disappointed based on what I have seen thus far...I am just hoping there is someone who is a bigger standout than D. Steele because right now, if Steele has to represent us we are literally fighting to scrape a top 40 spot at the next edition of MW.
Mia is just a distraction. It would be better if she was not in the line-up. She would just make up numbers at MW.
I am still holding out hope - for instance, I don't know how tall the indian lady in the black dress was but I am seeing shoulders, hips and a waist which are all well proportioned ....this is more than I can say for many of the ladies that screened. Additionally, I think it is easy to see Prishni R. made the seminfinal cut (I think she is a vet, decent look) and they probably picked Stephanie (a lawyer) to be in the line-up as well.
