Frank Speech wrote:I suspect Tobago, Toco, Mia and Jordanne's places in the top 5 are already secure. It will be interesting to see if they place Prishni in the top 5 for the actual final.
I'm starting to notice Jordanne and she has untapped potential, but this isn't her time for a win. She seems really boring right now, and I have a feeling she doesn't even really want to take part. That said, I do agree that she could be transformed with a stronger team behind her. This team is incapable of pulling that off.
The photos above look candid where the ladies are sitting down, and in terms of who is most beautiful with their natural resting face, its easily Prishni. We need to start there. Our representative needs to be first and foremost beautiful, and Prishni certainly is.
Mia looks at least 35 y/o. She is giving rap-video model with that terrible boob job, hard pass for me.

Looking forward to next year...I'm keeping my fingers crossed that we see more of Annaya Baird (from the Miss Tobago pageant), she absolutely should not give up on pageantry. I see her at every major pageant in the coming years. I could just imagine her with Peter Elias' training.
Is it that those who participate in Tobago are barred from coming over to screen in Trinidad in the same year? Anyone know the rules?

Lol! The shade has been pelted.....imagine you move on to finding our 2026 rep. Lol. I don't expect Annaya Baird to be in the line-up at all as she is Miss Top Model Trinidad and Tobago 2024 and will be pursuing modelling internationally for a few years, if things go well.
However, did you notice there were at least 3 others at the Top Model of Trinidad and Tobago 2024 who, with proper training, could be global competitors?...and of these, Jemelia Mc Cormie has the look of an international pageant winner.

@Frank Speech, I mean, why waste time focussing on this year, when they're clearly on games already?
With those girls you posted together with Annaya Baird, we have enough quality women to rotate and represent us for the next five - seven years at least at the big-two.
But the issue remains...nobody is out there actively recruiting these women!

Not gonna lie, if Tobago competes separately at Miss World from us, they will be an automatic threat. Those ladies! My goodness...

You are correct....the slate this year is well....unmemorable. They already know who they like for the win already....from everything I see so far if we don't make top 40 at the next edition of MW I would not be surprised....however, they push hard to get points for BWAP to ensure that we scrape a top 40 placement. The 1st RU from the last edition of MWTT is more impressive than this year's entire MWTT slate.Cello wrote:@Frank Speech, I mean, why waste time focussing on this year, when they're clearly on games already?

I really miss the days when Peter Elias had the franchises.....that's when we would be aiming for at least top 10 at MW and MU.

While all the ladies are beautiful, from these pics only Tobago and Aranguez stand out. Additionally, Bon Air seems to understand what she needs to do to look her best.
Moreover, the best faces from these candis are Princes Town, Toco and Aranguez.

Thank you so much for posting these! Facially, its between Toco and Aranguez at this point. If Pax Vale WAKES UP and works on herself, she can be something special in a year or two. Mia is looking like a shark facially, how she really reach there?! You can tell she's had several surgeries, she looks sooo plastic! I still think Pt. Fortin has some potential, maybe for a smaller pageant, but I do see something in her.

I am just so disappointed with this year's slate. So far, from all I have seen, Aranguez, Toco and Tobago are the only 3 who should be considered for the title this year but all of them need serious training.
That being said, we all know they probaby already know who they want. The two from that segment of society are Mia and Gulf View. Just saying

Miss World and questionable morals with a haughty attitude do not go together.....I really have to question the intelligence of that panel to place someone you can discern from 100 miles away is not a good fit for MW in the final 17 when it had more green candidates who would have benefitted from the training and probably made decent reps. in 2 or 3 years.

Re: ROAD TO MISS WORLD TRINIDAD & TOBAGO 2024
I am so underwhelmed with this year's slate.
I am with Cello....let us just move on to look for the 2026 rep. What is concerning is that they had more than a year to convince one global stunner to join. On the whole, we should only be crowning a winner who is less than 5'7" as the exception and she has to be clearly someone with the 'IT" factor e.g. Ache.

Prishni is the BEST choice from the batch. There really is nobody else who can turn up at the pageant LOOKING like a MW.
If we felt looks didn't matter at MW, the last two winners refute that notion without a doubt.
Charu, if you are reading this, please get your head out of the sand.

Agreed, but I will be shocked if they crown Prishni. Toco could pull a win but outside of these 2 only Tobago is memorable.
I have not seen anything to tell me that they are interested in real, meaningful training like Peter Elias used to do to transform the eventual winne. into a competitive all-round rep. Out of 17 semi-finalists how many are 5'7" or taller? Is it only Tobago?
I am waiting to see if they going to put Auntie in the top 3.

Imagine, we tend to celebrate and be surprised when there is a tall girl in the mix, when in fact this should be a PRE-REQUISITE (unless your name is Ache)! The casting for the show is downright lazy. Charu thinks she can sit there and have the right women come to her. Girl...put in the work. You aren't Osmel Sousa!
