miss universe 2012 just followed this year's trend in pageantry.."homecourt winners"..of the three pageants of which the host country eventually won, i find ms.universe's winner miss usa a deserving winner..shes lovely and simply beautiful..

But you are also unfair calling me a basher just because I was happy that Philippiness didn't win. It's not because I'm jealous that Philippines entered into the TOP5 and Poland not, because I didn't expect that it was even possible, especially for such un underdog in MU like Poland is. TOP16 after 23 years is like a dream come true, which is a feeliing that people, whose representatives are placing year after year just won't undersatnd. I'm not a fan of Jnine's beauty and that's the reason why I was rooting for USA when there were only 2 of them left in the competition, beside I was not the only one here. Everyone has a right to have his own opinion and to like/dislike what he/she wants. Don't you think? Peace.

i dont consider poland as an underdog this years pageant..she has it but eventually faded when she ramped the runways..

I did expect her out, I've never had her on my list, she is just a model and her face is a NO! And I've seen her in person twice and she is just a tall model, nothing else.

Wikipedia (not reliable, I know) has Philippines listed as the winner of the fan vote. I have the show recorded, I need to go back and see if they even called who was the fan choice.

I just re-watched the top 16 announcement and they did not specify which girl won the online vote. They did acknowledge prior to the announcement that one of the girls would advance via this method.

About the TOP 5 - agree with all except Brazil (Mexico instead, please )
About TOP 10 - Well, Russia.... Very happy for my sentimental favorite France and nice surprise with Hungary.
About TOP 16 - Happy for Croatia (lovely face) and Poland (she is not my favorite Polish delegate, but happy our neighbour finally made it!) Surprise with Turkey, still don´t know what to think about her..
Why India OMG!?!

I miss especially Paraguay, Ecuador and Malaysia. Also sad about Finland, I think the girl did her best!
