Re: Faith Gillezeau (TRINIDAD & TOBAGO 2023)
Okay, updating my faves list...Nicaragua is now my fave for the win with Thailand in second place.
Brazil
Curacao
Dominican Republic (top 5 possibility)
Ecuador
France
India
Jamaica
Nicaragua (Miss Universe 2023 winner?)
Poland
Russia (I expect politics will keep her out the finals)
South Africa
Thailand (top 5, can possibly win)
Venezuela
Special mention: Albania, Australia, Cameroon, Italy, Lebanon, Mongolia, Philippines
We already know that USA's place in the top 20 is already secure along with at least one trans-woman.
Unfortunately, T&T is a non-factor for me at this year's pageant. I hope Crowns & Sashes gets their act together.

Faith's chances of placing are slim to none, but the girl has fire. She's exciting to follow, I'd admit.
I'm seeing some potential underdogs causing spoilers, Nigeria and one or two others. I'd wait a bit more before sharing my list, maybe after prelims.
Both USA and Philippines aren't very strong this year, but the pageant community will be angry if they don't place. There are also questions about JKN's financial health, so I doubt they'd do anything to piss off their super-fans.
India is my sentimental favourite. That's a lot coming from me, because it's been many, many years since I've thought of India as being my favourite in any pageant.

@Cello & @Frank Speech ......hi y'all!!!
I really missed these pageant sites, especially during Miss Universe Season.
Just today I randomly came across this site after Googling alternatives for (You Know) the next page LOL!! That portal is no longer accessible.
I looked up Miss T&T on the page after joining & voilà. Found myself here.

Re: Faith Gillezeau (TRINIDAD & TOBAGO 2023)
I know this gown FAITH is wearing was for one of those charity events hosted recently BUT.........I'll be very disappointed if they give her a gown similar to this colour for the PRELIMINARY competition.
After seeing this gown, I'm reminded of gowns our past reps wore in 2010 & 2022.
I know it's NOT the same colour BUT this brown is a few shades away from that greenish gold I've seen before.
We've had 2 DIFFERENT LOCAL franchise holders, 2 different women, 2 different skin tones & body shapes who competed ALMOST 12 YEARS apart YET they both has SIMILAR coloured gowns.
ONLY difference is that 1 was a FAVOURITE who did not place in TRUMP's days................The other was not a favourite by many outsiders, who UNDERESTIMATED her and she placed.

I too am sick of that colour, or anything remotely similar. Green is Faith's best colour imo, and I am hoping for a dark green gown.

Thanks Cello.
After what happened to the other platform (that I am still MISSING) I thought y'all were done with pageant forums. So glad I was WRONG because social media is NOT doing it for me, especially with all the silly/ childish conversations I've witnessed among those with limited knowledge of pageants. It's not the same.
Time will tell if .....LONDON, 2VIEW, (trouble maker) CHELLOMELLOW & Jamaicans like YELLOWYAM & The Critic ETC (to name a FEW) all stumble across this forum like I did.........Hopefully 1 by 1 we'll meet them again.

@Cello: I am 100% behind you on that point about India. Over the weekend I was thinking she could win this....but we all know the locals are going to want a latina to win.

After hearing India speak, she sounds really grounded. Something about 'Indian-English' always sounds proud and snooty to me, but she didn't give off that vibe at all. Also, you eh see we get Prime Minister tags? Watch out Rowley.

Re: Faith Gillezeau (TRINIDAD & TOBAGO 2023)
So y'all know I was not Faith's biggest fan (physically/beautywise) so much so that I pissed off 2VIEW LOL!!
BUT she was overall the BEST performer @ the local pageant, seems very approachable & her CONFIDENCE is absolutely refreshing.
I agree with CELLO about how ENTERTAINING she has been to follow.
I know that physically Faith was not going to stand out or was going to have a hard time doing so.
BUT she is cute/attractive & I was hoping that her intelligence charisma/ approachable nature & confidence would attract members from the MUO.
The reason I thought there was hope for Faith BEYOND physical features, is because RECENTLY countries such as......... Guyana, Italy, Zimbabwe, Switzerland, British Virgin Islands, Laos, Mauritius, Great Britain, Latvia & Norway to name a few at the top of my head, are getting featured EVERY DAY. Sorry but NONE of these women stand out physically.
The fact that I can remember them all shows you how much coverage they are getting.
They are NOT ugly either BUT what that tells me is that Faith's physical features CANNOT be a factor............So what is it about her that they are ignoring???????????
HELL it is also not only the Miss Univ. Org. It's also some pageant fans too.
RECENTLY a Pinoy Pageant Vlogger (Adam) posted YouTube videos of MUO MEET & GREET interviews & FAITH was the ONLY contestant of ALL 80 something women whose interview you CANNOT find online.
He said FAITH was the FIRST to be interviewed & he was not prepared because he was distracted trying to get footage of other contestants. By the time he was ready Faith's interview was over. So he apologised.
AT THIS POINT, JUDGING BY THE CAPTION ON FAITH'S PHOTO BELOW......I know she's well aware that she's NOT on the radar of many fans. I applaud her for being a good sport. At least she has her mother to support her in El Salvador even if that's her only supporter in that country. I really admire her CONFIDENCE/ DETERMINATION despite the unfortunate circumstances.
@ FRANK .............THANKS ALSO FOR THE WARM WELCOME.

Even Miss El Salvador, if we're going on looks, may not make the finals. However, I expect her to have hometurf advantage, and MUO is in people-pleasing mode this year. They recently filed bankruptcy, despite claiming MU is financially healthy. Expect the choice of winner to be purely political and based on promised investments.
Keep going Faith, don't feel defeated.
