Indeed, she is giving face, and angles! That long neck is her saving grace. My eyes instantly went to her, despite the gown colour, and also despite Cameroon being the strongest in this batch.

Faith is standing next to 2 the most facially attractive women in this group photo (Cameroon & Chile) and she managed to hold her own here. NICE. She looks lovely here.
Saw another group photo with more contestants. Faith was being extra with that pose LOL!!! She looked great though.
Usually I'm not a fan of nude coloured dresses because they look too bland for my taste BUT I LOVE that hint of aquamarine shade incorporated into her dress. Very simple yet creative design.

It's nice that she's always promoting local designers & I've noticed that she give credit to all designers for everything she's wearing (accessories, clothes, shoes etc)

I'm with you on the nude gown, Kimberly. To me, that wouldn't have been a bad prelim gown either. A kinda Demi-leigh look.

Preliminary begins at 10:00pm TT time. I'm not sure I'd remain awake to watch, that's a little past my bedtime.

I tried buying a ticket, its $5.00, but for some reason the website isn't allowing me to register. The alternative is finding one of those watermarked shady steams on Youtube.

It's gonna take a miracle for Faith to place. She didn't stand out in the introductions at all. Also, R'bonney got some curves since her crowning, she looks so much better now than when she was crowned.

Cello wrote:Even Miss El Salvador, if we're going on looks, may not make the finals. However, I expect her to have hometurf advantage, and MUO is in people-pleasing mode this year. They recently filed bankruptcy, despite claiming MU is financially healthy. Expect the choice of winner to be purely political and based on promised investments.
Keep going Faith, don't feel defeated.
Sure right about MUO......Hell they are in desperation mode so I expect a few disappointing placements
What surprised me about Miss El Salvador is how LITTLE attention / coverage she got from MUO. Very strange..............That leaves me with the impression that she is NOT a favourite of the org BUT as a consolation prize, they might give her a placement.
I also expect 1 Married woman with children to get a GUARANTEED placement. Most likely Colombia AND/OR Guatemala on the basis that she's from Central America & it's one of El Salvador's neighbours (Extra Support, close to home turf)
Then we have the Transgender candidates (Portugal & Netherlands).........Of the 2, Netherlands is getting more coverage so (possible) guaranteed placement.
FOR NOW...........I only count 17 spots out of 20 available
@lingintexas ...........Yes anything is possible. I'd like for Faith to place in at least the top 20. Just disappointed that she's been ignored by the MUO like this.
I could have accepted her being overlooked ONLY in favour of women who looked like goddesses BUT damn many of these women the MUO have been favouring in their promos are nothing special (physically)

The SS music is absolutely horrible. It changed sometime around Guyana's SS. It's sickening and slow.

Honestly, Faith was good in SS. What she didn't have in body, she gave in face. If SS is truly won neck-up, she did well.

Faith was not a standout in intros and she was not in my top 40 for SS.
Nicaragua (my top fave), Thailand, Australia impressed the most in SS, with other standouts being Brazil, Costa Rica, Curacao, Czech Republic, DR, India, Jamaica, Ireland, Lebanon, Panama, Phillipines, Russia, Poland, Portugal, South Africa, Spain, USA, Venezuela, to name a few.

At the end of the day, I don't think she had a chance at making the finals (outside of getting the fan vote). She was a non-factor for the EG and SS prelims. I would not place her in the top 40 of either.Cello wrote:Faith ... ill-fitting gown.
I am pleased though that Faith did her best and she seems to be enjoying the entire experience.
C&S need to get their act together for 2024.

I must agree. A placement this year isn't possible for us based on preliminary performance. Prelims showed the clear front-runners. I'd post my list soon.

Re: Faith Gillezeau (TRINIDAD & TOBAGO 2023)
Really disappointed to hear that Faith was underwhelming in the Preliminary
Honestly I thought her training with Jaqui Koon How would have been enough to improve her walk...........Then again, FAITH has no pageant experience & was crowned 3 months ago........Crowns & Sashes needs to get their DAMN ACT TOGETHER.
I don't understand why these organisers think that crowning a woman less that 6 months is SUFFICENT time to get her properly prepared. Then they want to BAWL about how being a franchise holder is NOT easy, financially & otherwise STEUPSSSS. Duh like they didn't know that before?? SMH
Faith's interview is her ONLY hope now but unfortunately I still don't see her getting that TO 20 slot. Sigh.
C&S needs to get DANIA DUNTIN on board NEXT YEAR ASAP to participate.

That gown was just plain horrible. I looked like it was hanging on her, her team needs to be revamped because this was as lackluster as I have seen.Cello wrote:Frank Speech wrote:At the end of the day, I don't think she had a chance at making the finals (outside of getting the fan vote). Listen, I woke up this morning and cannot get over how bad the gown was! It looked way too big, like a nightgown. The cut-out for the bosom was also terrible, just floating on her. We're all well aware Faith doesn't have the body to fill that out (and that's okay btw!). It made her look slouchy.lingintexas wrote:That gown was just plain horrible. I had hoped for something more form-fitting in green / nude, and a high bun. Tya really placed last year on her own merit, because if this is what C&S produces on their own, they're in the wrong industry.
