Congrats Blackmagic for this great batch of contestants...definitely, Miss Bahamas Org has stepped up its game this year...and Im so glad that they now have the MU franchise...finally we will see amazing Bahamians at MU. As for the girls, I really like Anastagia Pierre and Braneka Bassett, among others.....I watched Braneka's video and she looks awesome on it...definitely a contender and I think she's my bet for the crown.....I would like tho to see some candids of the candidates to make a better assessment..but otherwise, great job the Bahamas :-)

Lathyra Tinker has become the first semi-finalist for the Miss Bahamas 2010 Beauty Pageant. She won the Sportswoman Award.......CONGRATULATIONS TO HER!!!!!

The Bahamas has many beautiful woman, but you'd never know it from who was being sent to compete internationally. WELL NO MORE! This is a new day people and I couldn't be happier!!!!!

Now, about my favs for the title....

BRANEKA BASSETT IS THE GIRL TO BEAT!!!!! She came across as very natural and fresh in her interview, and you can see she is a true beauty. While Anastagia was good, I think she came across as a pageant veteran who knows what to say and how to say it.

My other favorites include:

JANAY PYFROM
LATAJ HENFIELD
AZARIA CLARE (she needs to lose weight to be competitive because these girls bodies are SLAMMING!!!!)
LATHYRA TINKER (even though she's short)
CAROL STUBBS

All in all, I think this is a great group of contestants.... the best GROUP I've seen from my country in DECADES! I really believe that we will continue to see this calibre of competition, now that MBO has the Miss Universe franchise.

GOOD JOB MBO! AND MAY THE BEST WOMAN WIN!!!!
