Well, La Toya is very strong. It will be very tough to overtake her. But, I think the Bahamas has a great line up this year and the best chance they have had to make the cut in many years.

CONGRATS to Michelle Malcolm and her team at MBO for finally rescuing Bahamian pageantry!

The Bahamas has many beautiful woman, but you'd never know it from who was being sent to compete internationally. WELL NO MORE! This is a new day people and I couldn't be happier!!!!!

Now, about my favs for the title....

BRANEKA BASSETT IS THE GIRL TO BEAT!!!!! She came across as very natural and fresh in her interview, and you can see she is a true beauty. While Anastagia was good, I think she came across as a pageant veteran who knows what to say and how to say it.

My other favorites include:

JANAY PYFROM
LATAJ HENFIELD
AZARIA CLARE (she needs to lose weight to be competitive because these girls bodies are SLAMMING!!!!)
LATHYRA TINKER (even though she's short)
CAROL STUBBS

All in all, I think this is a great group of contestants.... the best GROUP I've seen from my country in DECADES! I really believe that we will continue to see this calibre of competition, now that MBO has the Miss Universe franchise.

Hey "Glam Chic".....Braneka and Anastagia are strong....I'm very impressed with Braneka love her pics she is definitley miss photogenic....as for the others....Janay is very nice, Lataj, Azaria, Lathyra and Carol caught my eye....but it is quite tough....

Hey Phenom.....LaToya is strong....but what she has is bragging rights....I wouldn't say it would be tough to overtake her....I would say she has bragging rights....she is beauty pageant strong YES!!! and she wears the sash of TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO....a "trump" card and factor that the Bahamas does not possess....however yes...I do believe if the correct girl wins...the Bahamas will have the same chances as Trinidad to do well!!!....but I do love LaToya....she's strong!

Im torn as well...Ive always loved Anastagia Pierre since she competed in Miss Teen USA 2004 and I also really like Braneka Bassett...For now, Im rooting for Braneka. But seriously, there are so many gorgeous girls in the competition...what an upgrade from what we were used to see in the old Miss Bahamas Universe pageant. I hope that the new organization will allow girls to recompete more than 1 time...because, you have some many great girls that could polish themselves and recompete and do an amazing job, so, I hope the organization allows that....if this wasn;t allowed in pageantry, we would have never seen Natalie Glebova, Cynthia Olavarria, Tatum Keshwar, among others, and those girls made their countries very proud.

I agree with you guys...Braneka looks better in candids than on the professional shots...she looks amazing all the time and her video interview simply confirms that as well...she's stunning and shining...my bet too
