Thant´s bad , but it´s hard to learn more about the girls from a few pics or a video. But I hope Niina is communicative and not shy. She is really great.

Niina is great in communication. I like Sara Sieppi myself too, but it's a shame that she's so scared.....

Anni Uusivirta for me is just the Goddes of the group without even a shadow of a doubt!

I saw the fashion show yesterday. There were some technical difficulties there, and styling was, mostly, outragiously over the top. I didn't talk to the girls, but saw some of them interacting between the shows.

I'll be voting for Anni Uusivirta too ! She just has It ! Her styling was possibly most outragious of the lot, but her presence... There's a lot of old Hollywood film star elegance in her. I think that with some training (catwalk and tights) and better styling (I'd cut her hair, she has beautiful neck and shoulders, and she'd look great in the kind of hairdoes Scarlett Johansson she looks quite a lot like wears) she's semifinalist material in MU.

I agree with Milka on 1st Runner-up too. Niina Lavonen would be an old school Miss Finland. Even more beautiful in person than in photos, too. She seemed slightly absent on stage at times (girls have had very little sleep), and definitely needs to study catwalk, but even now, she definitely stands out even in Crocs provided by a sponsor. I feel she's maybe too classic looking and lacks "fierceness" for MU, but MW and especially International Beauty could be her kind of pageants.

For my own, personal 2nd Runner-up, I can't decide between Sara Sieppi and Pia Pakarinen. Sara is another contestant who is even prettier seen IRL than in photos. She has really beautiful, feminine face and body, and her catwalk is better one would expect from someone in her first pageant. I'm sure that with a right training, she can learn to relax on stage. Pia Pakarinen, on the other hand, is Miss Photogenic. Don't get me wrong, she is very pretty IRL too, but still, her face is the kind that the camera loves. Relatively good on stage too.

The rest, well, Linnea Aaltonen seems to be the favourite here. And she is very, very pretty, with some personality to go with the looks. However, she truely is small. Not only that, since even smaller girls can have a stage presence that makes them stand out - Viivi is a good example. Linnea is so cute, but somehow seems absent on stage. I think this is the main reason she hasn't placed internationally. In this competition, Helena Riihitupa is shorter than Linnea on paper, but has a far greater impact on stage. Her face may not be everybody's cup of tea, but I overheard someone in audience telling how she could be French, with the elegant vibe she has, and couldn't agree more. Nina Mikkonen and Iina Pyymäki are great on stage too. You can see the twinkle in their eyes. Nina is maybe the contestant who makes the biggest improvement from camera to real life, and I wouldn't be surpriced either if the judges placed her high. Iina seems a bit big compared to some of the girls, but looks like a fun, bubbly person. Not as much maybe as Ennileena Siitonen, though. She is undoubtably the comedienne of the group. In another year, I think she could have been runner-up material with her pretty face and lean body. Rita Aaltolahti has tried this previously too. She has actually improved on stage, but lookwise,

In whole, I think we have a good batch. Looking at the facial beauty alone, maybe best since at least 2005. I see some potential for international competitions in my TOP4, even if they all need styling and training, unlike Viivi last year or Satu in 2008. For MU, our best bet is, undoubtably, Anni. Maybe Niina too, if the MUO keeps pointing to classic looks the way they did last year.

I think Iina Pyymäki has done very well in the tour so far.... She might be a dark horse.
