Anyone saw the gown Ache was to wear at MW. I can tell you, because of the backlash Charu received, she made Ache wear another gown. The gown that Ache was to wear is available on their social media pages now. Lol

Please tell me it is not that cheap looking crap on CLD's instagram page. What Ache actually wore for the finals was way better than that. Whoever told Charu to cancel that gown she designed did her a big favor. T&T would have torn Charu a new one....my gosh that gown was even worse than the Best Designer Dress that Charu designed.chellowmellow wrote:Anyone saw the gown Ache was to wear at MW. Charu is on the same level as Heather Jones, Claudia Pegus and Peter Elias. None of them are top designers! But... atleast Peter was smart enough to let Bobby Ackbarli and other designers shine with the final gowns at Miss World. Y'all remmeber the gowns Charu created for Miss Universe T&T 2014 (Jevon won that year)

Peter Elias made it clear he is a stylist and not a designer...but my gosh even Peter Elias would have done a better job if he had to design a gown. I don't recall Peter Elias ever designing such a train wreck of a 'pageant' gown.chellowmellow wrote:Frank Speech wrote:Please tell me it is not that cheap looking crap on CLD's instagram page. Am I missing something....why is Charu and her team not highligting the Screenings more? Additionally, please tell me that someone has asked Nathan and Peter Elias to start a developent program Jemelia Mc Cormie....she could be our next crown contender in a couple of years. I posted a photo of her in the Road to Miss World TT 2024 thread...see link

On an aside I am totally expecting the Crowns and Sashes team to choose our Mr. and Ms. Suprnational 2024 reps. behind closed doors...is there even 3 months left before the international finals?
I hope the 2nd RU from Miss Grand TT 2023 screened for the Miss Supranational title.

It's understandable.....I still think Miss Venezuela, who is a mom, could win Miss Universe.chellowmellow wrote:Frank Speech wrote:On an aside I am totally expecting the Crowns and Sashes team to choose our Mr. and Ms. Suprnational 2024 reps. behind closed doors...is there even 3 months left before the international finals?

Miss Universe has gone too woke...I like an increase in age limit but I don't understand why they did not just cap it at around 37-40 years old. There is already a Mrs Universe pageant where married and older women can compete in.
I rather they kept standards that they adhered to than all this fake inclusivity.
Also, with Miss World...my issue is that it appears that it's really expensive to maintain that brand locally. I don't see the point in us competing if we not sending a real contender. Making top 40 is just not worth it, especially when you realize that if you have more money to do a great BWAP project then you will likely get more points and advance further. Mrs Morley really liked Ache....we were very fortunate that we had a rep. who was such an excellent speaker and charming....we were very lucky to make the top 10 of BWAP.

Wait haven't you seen the video where Anne said that Inclusivity is just for show and Miss Universe isn't going to crown no mother, trans, older women etc? Also have you seen Paula Shuggart the other fraud suing Anne after Anne said Paula rigged pageants Miss Universe is off American television. Miss India org gave up the Miss universe franchise. Mauritius, Netherlands too. Lupita said Miss Universe wouldn't survive.

With reference to the above pics, it AMAZES me how to this day (more than a decade after her MW stint) Athaliah Samuel still finds herself on the frontline, doing the very most. I know she has some fans here, but girl, STOP!

I think the gown Ache actually wore was beautiful and a lovely colour. We can go on and on about how Czech Republic wore a more regal and elaborate gown, but I think Ache moved really easily and felt beautiful in her's. I also loved the colour, as I'm tired of the silvers and golds.

Hi Cello. I believe I saw it on Instagram if I recall correctly but right now I am not finding it -I wonder if they took it down? It would have been a smart move for Charu if they did indeed take down the photo.Cello wrote:Frank Speech wrote:Peter Elias made it clear he is a stylist and not a designer...but my gosh even Peter Elias would have done a better job if he had to design a gown. It is concerning though that anyone on that team thought for one second that would have made an appropriate competition gown - cause guess what, even though there was not an official EG segment, they are still judging you based on non-verbal as well as verbal ques. I am concerned that Charu could not tell that neither the best designer award gown and the finals gown that she designed were forgettable...and the finals night gown she designed was NOT appropriate.
Another concern that I have is that I do not think for one second that Charu and her team did any meaningful work with respect to interview for Ache - it is clear to me that more than 90% of the way Ache speaks is because she turned up speaking that way already. Who really are the people doing the interview coacing for MWTT? Finals for MWTT2024/2025 is about June 23rd, 2024. This team better wake up and in the interim they should get advice from Peter Elias.

Re: Aché Abrahams (TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO 2023)
That sounds like an exciting initiative by Charu Lochan Dass and the Miss World Trinidad and Tobago organization! The six-week reality show special is a great opportunity to showcase the multifaceted nature of the Miss World competition and the qualities beyond physical appearance that are valued in the pageant world.
By highlighting the various aspects of the competition such as talent, intelligence, charity work, and personality, the reality show can give the public a deeper understanding of what it takes to be a Miss World contestant.
The prizes offered, including the cash prize (100k CASH), a brand new car from Toyota, and over half a million in other prizes, are certainly generous incentives for the contestants and will likely attract a high level of participation and interest in the reality show and the pageant overall.
Overall, this initiative seems like a positive step towards promoting a more holistic and inclusive image of the Miss World competition, and it will be interesting to see how it unfolds leading up to the finals in June.
