HI FRANK........I HOPE YOU'RE GOOD.

HERE IS MY RANT...........

Who TF told Charu that she's a good designer??????  Neutral
This competition is good for her to showcase her designs/ business so maybe she's ok with having Ache showcase a mediocre gown?????
I don't get it!!!!!!! Evil or Very Mad

I saw some of her most recent designs being featured by past MW T&T reps like beautiful Dania Duntin & my goodness some of those designs were either DULL or atrocious. No middle ground. IF I knew beforehand that CHARU was designing Ache's gown for TOP MODEL I would have prepared myself for this MESS.  Crying or Very sad

NATIONAL COSTUME .........This segment doesn't matter BUT hell why not put in some effort to give her a better costume?

HEAD TO HEAD CHALLENGE ........she was VISIBLY nervous & it did not work out.....I let it slide.

SPORTS...........Ache got sick & this segment is very difficult. The eventual winner almost never comes from this segment so I let this slide as well.

TOP MODEL..........Ache has an EXCELLENT walk but GOWN was a mess Mad NOT EVEN TOP 5 IN THE AMERICAS.

WHERE DO WE GO FROM HERE????  Crying or Very sad
BWAP IS A MAJORRRRR GAMBLE .............TALENT IS A TRICKY ONE..............SHE BETTER NOT GET NERVOUS LIKE SHE WAS FOR H2H WHEN BACKDOOR INTERVIEWS ARE DONE.

I AM PISSED  Mad Mad Mad THERE'S A LOT I WANT TO SAY EH but I'm holding back until the end of this pageant.
The superstitious part of me does NOT want to manifest MORE negativity that can befall Ache's chances @ MW.......Maybe I went overboard already but it hurts me to see such a GORGEOUS WOMAN in this position due to poor choices again by local franchise holders.

Pre-arrival, I thought the crown would be between Ache and Czech Republic.

If I had to do a prediction... I would say the top 3 are England, Trinidad and Tobago and Botswana. The crown should be between England and Trinidad and Tobago. Currently I think England will win. I would not be surprised to see Botswana as the 1st RU.

Ache was never gonna place in Top Model and Sport. H2H and Talent was where we were looking for points.

I realize that Ache speaks so well not because she was trained to but because she entered the pageant as a good speaker.

For now I know she will be top 5....I am hoping for a top 3. No one speaks like Ache when she is at her best....but it's a tough year and she should have been trained better. Had she focused more on practical challenges from the viewpoint of a small island state for the H2H finals she could have made top 5...it is what it is.

I am waiting to see who enters MWTT2024...I am not impressed with the Miss Tobago winner...the person who I wanted to win was instead 1st RU and is Top Model Trinidad and Tobago 2024.

Ache could still win Miss World...I just have a feeling...maybe it's just me overly hoping for a win as she is my rep....but no one speaks like her....there are multiple excellent speakers at Miss World with England obviously being the clear front-runner...but among excellent speakers Ache has such a very unique way of speaking and a graciousness about her. I am hoping she nailed her interview.

What I would like:
Miss World 2024: Trinidad and Tobago
1st RU: Botswana
I don't particulary have a favorite for 2nd RU, so I would say India as 2nd RU but Botswana and India could interchange places.

Prediction wise:
1. England
2. Trinidad and Tobago
3. Botswana

All the best to our lovely Ache for the Miss World finals. I am proud of her! I am expecting our highest placement since 2008. My prediction may be overly optimistic since she is my rep. but I would be shocked if she is not in the final 5 at least. Top 12 - for sure...

I have to be honest, I think Miss World is favouring Ache a lot. I don't think she was deserving of the TOP 10 for BWAP. Her project wasn't as strong as Philippines or even Colombia. Miss Turkey and Czech Repuiblic making it to BWAP are also questionable. We all love Ache but we need to be real with ourselves, MW is favouring her a lot which I do not mind at all considering she is from T&T AND i want her to win.

Hi hi.

As it concerns top model is a shortie like Megan Young could win that segment, anything is possible.

I didn't expect Ache to win this segment at all but I was hoping for a higher placement.

TALENT was a MESS......Tunisia with her mediocre singing was painful to hear. So many contestants were overlooked for that one. There was nothing Ache could do for this segment even though she had one of the best voices.

I agree with you about H2H though.
CHARU & her team dropped the ball here & it is UNACCEPTABLE. They had almost 2 years to DEVELOP A PROPER strategy as it concerns Ache's strengths & help her improve upon her weaknesses. DISAPPOINTING.

This is where PETER ELIAS excelled. Her knew how to pinpoint & further improve the strengths of our queens.

As for the Miss Tobago winner, I'm not surprised at all. I expected a disappointing choice which is sad to say the least.

Hi WELCOME back to the pageant forum world. Hope you're good.

As for Aché I personally do not think she's being favoured.

I say that because if she was, she'd have placed higher in Fast Tracks like TALENT were she performed excellently & IMO was robbed a higher placement.

The rest of the challenges & its result, I have no choice to accept as it was expected after what I saw.
I BLAME Charu & her team for NOT developing a better strategy.

And it's about time we STOP placing such heavy emphasis on BWAP......every year.
All our franchise holders have been doing this after Gabrielle Walcott won this award/fast track in 2008.

We need to focus on other areas. Winning BWAP is no guarantee that awardee is gonna be crowned MW.

I don't get why these franchise holders are so clueless with their strategies.

Everyone is talking about Ache. She is probably the most famous beauty queen we ever had. I can see this as a good thing for Miss World brand in Trinidad. We will get girls on Ache's caliber to enter.

Congrats to Ache! So proud of her.

I like the 40-12-8-4-2 format.

....what I don't get with Miss World is basically my pre-arrival faves were the contenders but you could not tell that right-out based on the sub-compettions. Czech Republic was to me crowning another Poland if they wanted that - thats why she was on my pre-arrival list...the only reason she was off my top 3 is that MW was pushing England and Ache - yes I agree with Chellomellow - they liked Ache.

So...basically go with my gut next time and ignore all the sub-competitions? Same nonesene in 2016 when PR was my outright fave but she was not really placing in the sub-competitons. I wish MW was more transparent about how they really score the representatives. I am just assuming that based off this year - they made sure their top faves were in the top 10 of BWAP because I think they are scoring BWAP with the interviews.....I should have just known from the time they placed Czeck Republic in the top 10 BWAP but I thought they are pushing England so much and I though they are from the same region....additionally, I know they are saying the are not scoring on EG and SS but my gosh, they chose two glamazons in a row.....I don't think for one second that looks don't matter....it's a job and you have to be able to attract investors....any spokesperson has to fit a certain image that matches what the organization is about. Czech Republic is an exellent winner and I am pleased with her win...just MW and it's antics. I will just try to stick with my faves as best as possble from now on.

I hope our girl Ache has a wonderful year as Queen of the Caribbean - this is only the 3rd time T&T won the regional title outright (Sorry, but Tya was 2nd in the region) from what I can recall (Michelle Khan in 1995 and Gabrielle Walcott in 2008). I believe Giselle won the Miss Americas region because the Caribbean was lumped in under Americas region at that time.

I am happy for Ache but she is no where close to the most famous beauty queen. It's just it has been 16 years (since 2008) that we had a major placement at a beauty pageant.

The next MW pageat is at the end of the year but honestly I think it will be next-year as well....but we will go with end of this year as that is what we know for now.

Charu & team have their work cut out because it is clear to  me Ache spoke that well before she entered the competition and these people did not do their homeowork when it came to deeply understanding the MW brand and what the H2H challenge would entail.  Who is on the interview training panel for this cycle? We aleady know 1 of the 15 finalists for Miss World TT 2024 and I am not impressed - she may be a decent speaker but where is the total package? Still...I see they moved the final screening to April 7th 2024 if I recall correctly from what I read...online applications for Miss World TT 2024 are still currently being accepted. Let's hope they get another gem and find at least one or two other prospects for Peter Elias to groom for the next pageant after this year's competition.

All in all, Charu seems like a really likelable person but I hope this placement and shortcomings give her a huge drive to really do better and get our next Miss World crown. I am still rooting for Charu...she and her sponsors did a lovely job with the wardrobe and make-up - only hated the Best Designer Award Competition gown (sorry Charu; I don't think it mattered because I did not expect her to place in this) and I was not impressed with the final gown but it was decent.
